Over the past few days, Henan Province has been lashed by torrential and continual rainfall, and consequently, Zhengzhou and many other cities suffer from severe waterlogging. Currently, the post-storm reconstruction is underway in a tense and orderly manner.
The disaster has led to the virtual paralysis of the elevators, greatly affecting people's daily life. Engineers from Hitachi Elevator Henan Branch and technical experts and emergency engineers from Shandong, Shaanxi, Shanxi, Hubei, Anhui, and other provinces have formed an emergency rescue team of more than 400 people. At present, the elevator repair works are carried out in full swing by the team.

After investigation, the number of elevators under warranty that were disabled by water amounts to nearly 2000 in Henan Province at present. After days of hard work, as of July 27, more than 1600 Hitachi elevators have been restored to safe operation. In addition to setting up the emergency rescue team, eight batches of nearly 12,000 elevator parts from Tianjin, Shanghai, and Guangzhou have arrived at Henan Province.
At the same time, Hitachi Elevator actively responds to the call of the State Administration for Market Regulation, paying close attention to the situation of other damaged local elevators and providing spare parts and technical support at any time. To ensure the safety of public transport, Hitachi Elevator prioritizes the repair of elevators and strives to use the shortest time to restore the normal operation of elevators in affected areas.
